In this edition, we examine the use of Ganoderma lucidium (Reishi) in the management of histamine-mediated allergic response (hayfever) in adults and children. In addition, the role of Epstein-Bar Virus (EBV) in cancer growth is examined, with specific links to nasopharyngeal carcinoma, Burkett's lymphoma, Hodgkin´s disease and breast cancer. In this seventh edition, we present the results of Dr. Julian Kenyon's 30 patient observational study on the use of Coriolus versicolor supplementation in Stage III and Stage IV cancer patients in which he measures the changes in telomerase activity, interleukin 5, interleukin 12 and Tumor Necrosis Factor Beta over 120 days. In addition two case studies on the use of Coriolus in Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn´s disease are provided. Additionally, a case study on the use of Coriolus versicolor in breast cancer is presented. Finally, Dr. Amin Karmali suggests that the biomass form of mushroom nutrition may be a form of enzyme therapy that could have applications in cancer care.
