5. Mechanism of Action
Corpet is a non-specific imunomodulator that gradually (over ten days) assists the equine immune system by:
- Increasing white blood count.
- Increasing CD4 levels
- Increasing interleukin 12 activity
- Decreasing interleukin 5 activity
- Decreasing telomerase activity
In a more general manner, over a six week period, Corpet supplementation rebalances the relationship between cytokine TH1 and TH2 immune systems when challenged by either a virus or tumor activity.
